Why a moving company in Dubai needs to know the buildings
Dubai is a city of towers and gated communities, and almost every one of them has its own rules. Most buildings only allow moves between set hours. Many require a permit application a few days ahead, signed by the owner or the agent, along with a copy of your tenancy contract and sometimes a refundable deposit against damage to the lobby or the lift.
A crew that has never worked in your building will not know that the service lift is booked in one hour slots, or that the loading bay in your tower is too low for a three ton truck and the job needs two smaller vehicles. We check those things when we survey, not on the morning of the move.

A fixed price, agreed before anything is loaded
Hourly pricing punishes you for things you cannot control. If the lift is busy, if the building makes the crew use the back entrance, if traffic on Sheikh Zayed Road is bad, the meter keeps running and the bill grows.
We price the job, not the hour. After the survey you get a written quote listing the crew size, the truck size, the materials, and any lift or permit charges as separate lines so you can see exactly what you are paying for. That number is what you pay, unless you add items after the survey and tell us to take them.
What happens on the day
The crew arrives inside the agreed window with all the materials on the truck. Floors and lift walls are protected first. Fragile items are wrapped in your home rather than thrown in a box to be dealt with later. Beds, wardrobes and dining tables are dismantled, and the screws for each item go in a labelled bag taped to that item so nothing goes missing.
At the new place we protect the floors again, carry everything to the room marked on the carton, rebuild the furniture and take the packing waste away with us. You should not be left with a mountain of flattened cardboard in your new living room.

How much does a moving company in Dubai charge?
It comes down to volume, access and how much packing you want us to do. A studio with lift access on both ends is a very different job from a four bedroom villa with stairs. We do not quote a figure over the phone without seeing the home, because a number given blind is a number that changes on the day. How far ahead should I book?
Two to five days is comfortable for a flat and about a week for a villa, mostly because building permits take a couple of days to come through. The end of the month is the busiest period in Dubai, so if you are moving on the 28th to the 31st, book earlier. We do take same day jobs when a truck and crew are free.
Do you move on Fridays and public holidays?
We work around your building, and many buildings restrict moving hours on Fridays and during prayer times. Tell us the date you want and we will confirm what your building permits before you commit to anything.
Will you pack for me or should I pack myself?
Either. Most customers ask us to pack the kitchen, the glassware and the wardrobes and do the rest themselves. If you pack your own boxes, use proper cartons rather than supermarket boxes and do not fill a large box with books. Anything you pack yourself is moved at your own risk, which is another reason people hand over the fragile items.
What if something gets damaged?
Tell the supervisor before the crew leaves and note it on the delivery sheet. Damage reported on the day is straightforward to resolve. Damage reported a week later is very hard for anyone to verify, which is why we photograph existing marks before wrapping and why we ask you to walk through with the supervisor at the end.
Do you move to other emirates?
Yes. Dubai is our base and our main service area, and we regularly run moves to Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ajman. A move out of the emirate is still a one day job in most cases.
